    employee would even be issued one of these cookbooks.
    Most of the recipes are designed for single-portion cooking, which is different from most railroad cookbooks of the era.
    This book presents the recipes exactly as the Southern Pacific set them forth on paper in 1912, spiral-bound for ease of use in the kitchen.
